Individual Shelter Rebates

Round 1 awardees are currently building out their shelters, and must be completely closed out with the City by June 30, 2014 to receive their rebates.

Round 2 Application Period is closed as of 5 PM on 3/3/14. Applicants who have passed preliminary floodplain checks should receive an e-mail within the next 24 hours confirming this status and briefly describing next steps.

PLEASE REMEMBER: If you are applying to this program, DO NOT start constructing a storm shelter now. Storm shelters eligible for rebates will not be built until after you receive certified mail from us stating that our application has been approved by FEMA and you have been selected as an awardee to the program. This will take 12-18 months following the Applicant Meetings.
