Outdoor Warning Sirens

We sound the sirens in case of tornado threat. It doesn't mean you will experience or see a tornado, but it does mean the likelihood that you will is far greater than normal. When the sirens sound, the message being sent is, "take shelter NOW & seek info from your sources." Please do NOT call 911 or the Police Department unless you have an immediate emergency---they will not have more info.

We may sound them more than once as new threats appear. We do NOT sound them for all storms, nor do we sound an "all-clear" signal. Remember, the sirens are an OUTDOOR warning system. They are NOT designed to be heard inside. You should always have multiple ways of getting warning info.

Regular tests are Saturdays at noon when it's fair & warmer than 35F.
